Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has opened up about her personal struggles with self-acceptance in a heartfelt post on Instagram. The movie star, fondly known as Omosexy, reflected on her emergency surgery in 2024, which left a scar on her stomach – a part of her body she once cherished.

In a Valentine’s Day photo shoot, Omotola shared a candid video of herself, momentarily exposing her scarred tummy. She revealed that a fleeting moment of insecurity threatened to undermine her confidence, but she swiftly shook it off, focusing on her gratitude for being alive.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde penned a powerful message about self-love, scars, and acceptance, encouraging her fans to do the same. She wrote, “Loving yourself first is the greatest Valentine’s gift… I’m alive, and it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, and some are emotional… but today, smile, dance, and be proud. You’re still here, and you look darn good too!”
