The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, has secured victory at his polling unit in Apoi Ward II, Unit 004, Kiribo, Ese Odo Council Area, Ondo State.

Ajayi garnered 194 votes, defeating his main rival, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received just 3 votes.

The former deputy governor and his wife cast their votes around 10:36 a.m., under heavy security provided by the Nigerian Police and Civil Defence. They were accredited shortly after arriving and given priority to vote before others in the queue.

After voting, Ajayi departed in his black Jeep, briefly interacting with voters. However, he later expressed dissatisfaction with the process, alleging significant irregularities in the governorship election.
