According to officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, one male adult has been successfully rescued, while efforts are ongoing to reach others still trapped. The cause of the collapse remains unclear, but authorities are investigating possible structural failures and substandard construction materials.

Rescue operations are being carried out by a coordinated team comprising the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Lagos State Ambulance Service, and other relevant agencies. Heavy machinery and specialized equipment are being deployed to clear the debris and ensure the safe retrieval of those affected.
