Onimusha: Way of the Sword Drops New Gameplay Trailer Featuring Combat at Summer Game Fest 2025

During today’s Summer Game Fest event, a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which showed off more of the game’s slash-combat was released.

Capcom’s latest Onimusha was first revealed at The Game Awards last year, and is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC as the first brand new, mainline Onimusha game since Dawn of Dreams way back in 2006.

In February, we got a closer look at the game’s protagonist, the historic swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, who will fight off an evil force known as Malic as it tries to take over Kyoto. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is currently planned for release sometime in 2026.
