Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North, has accused Governor Godwin Obaseki of denying the All Progressives Congress (APC) access to public school premises for campaign purposes ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial election.
Oshiomhole expressed frustration over the issue during the APC’s ward-to-ward campaign in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area.
He noted that many of these schools were built during his tenure as governor, making the denial more puzzling.
Oshiomhole criticized Obaseki, stating that his position is temporary and held in trust for the people of Edo State.
He asserted that APC will use state facilities for campaigns, daring Obaseki to intervene.
Oshiomhole also mentioned that the APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, will engage in a debate with the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in the Esan dialect, moderated by Esan people, emphasizing local involvement.
