The Oyo State Government has debunked rumors of the death of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, confirming that he is alive and in good health.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun, stated, “Yes, Olubadan is alive, hale, and hearty. I spoke with one of his sons, Prince Olaseke Owolabi Olakulehin, who represented the family at the coronation committee.”

Similarly, the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Gbenga Ayoade, dismissed the reports as fake news. He also denied claims that the monarch had been flown out of Ibadan for medical attention, emphasizing that Oba Olakulehin remains in the city and continues his daily activities without issues.
