Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), has denied widespread social media claims linking him to real estate fraud and money laundering.
Speaking during his Next Level Prayer programme on Wednesday morning, Pastor Idowu strongly refuted the accusations, stating that he has no involvement in the real estate business.
“Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts,” he said. “I do not own any property in Nigeria, except the one everyone knows about. I am not involved in buying or selling properties.”
Addressing allegations of financial misconduct, Pastor Idowu invited scrutiny of his financial records. “My accounts are public. Go and check if I have ever received billions into my accounts,” he added.
The pastor’s comments come amid speculation following reports by Sahara Reporters that he was arrested and is under investigation by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) for alleged financial crimes.
Pastor Idowu continues to lead HICC, a prominent church with locations in Nigeria, the UK, and the US, and is known for his leadership and prayer initiatives such as the Next Level Prayer Conference.
