Renowned pastor Odumeje has cautioned his followers against filming him in public, emphasizing that he is a man of God, not a celebrity. During a recent church service, the Anambra-based preacher expressed his disdain for being videoed, stating that it’s unnecessary and distracting.
Odumeje noted that many people who film him are unaware of his past, but are quick to pull out their phones to capture his image. He reiterated that his focus is on performing miracles and serving as a pastor, not on seeking fame or attention.
The preacher warned his followers that filming him without permission would invite spiritual consequences, including the potential loss of their phones. Speaking in Igbo, Odumeje sternly cautioned: “If you see me on the road, don’t bring out your phone to film me. If you do, I’ll spiritually destroy that phone. I’m a prophet, not a celebrity, and I’ll remain the same forever.”
