The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended four members, including former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, for alleged anti-party activities.

The suspensions were announced by the PDP’s Media Consultant, Cornelius Hwande, following a meeting of the State Working Committee in Makurdi.

Ortom was suspended for supporting the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 election and urging Benue PDP members to vote for the APC in the 2027 Presidential election. Also suspended were:

– Isaac Mffor, state Deputy Chairman, and Bemgba Iortyom, state Publicity Secretary, for allegedly snatching congress materials during last Saturday’s ward congresses in Buruku and Ushongo local government areas.

– Azua Ashongo, Vice Chairman of Zone A, for gross insubordination and indiscipline.

The suspensions aim to address alleged actions contrary to the party’s interests and rules.
