Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Serra, have reportedly ended their three-decade-long relationship in what is described as a “completely amicable” separation. The news was first shared by Spanish publication Sport.

The couple, who married near Barcelona in 2014, initially met in 1994 and have three children together: Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17. Reports suggest Serra lived full-time in Barcelona, while Guardiola has remained in Manchester for his managerial duties.

Serra, a Brazilian journalist and writer, is said to have decided to separate in December, informing only their close circle. Friends and family have reportedly been asked to maintain confidentiality, with the separation described as “amicable, stable, and friendly.”

Throughout Guardiola’s illustrious managerial career, Serra has been a supportive presence. She attended Manchester City’s historic Champions League victory in Istanbul in June 2023, where the club secured the Treble, and was also seen with Guardiola at Wimbledon in July.

In 2019, Serra moved out of Manchester to focus on managing her family’s fashion business, Serra Claret. Meanwhile, Guardiola has faced challenges this season, with Manchester City enduring their worst run of results under his leadership.

Despite speculation about his future, Guardiola extended his contract in November, committing to Manchester City until 2027.
