Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has demanded transparency from the Federal Government regarding the newly acquired presidential jet.

In a series of posts on his official X handle, Obi insisted that Nigerians have the right to know the jet’s purchase price, age, and operational history.

He also sought clarity on the disposal of old jets, including their number, age, and reasons for sale.

Obi emphasized that transparency and accountability are essential for genuine leadership, and the government should provide adequate information about its actions to the people.

As a symbol of national sovereignty and state power, Obi argued that the presidential jet’s cost and maintenance are matters of public accountability.

He urged the government to provide full disclosure on the new jet, warning that failure to do so would undermine trust in the leadership.
