Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate, has requested that President’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, retract his accusation linking Obi to the planned August mass protest.

Through his lawyer, Chief Alex Ejesieme, Obi stated that the widely published allegation damaged his reputation as a peaceful individual, contradicting his history of non-violence even in the face of extreme provocation.

Obi believes the publication was a deliberate attempt to humiliate and embarrass him in the eyes of society. He demands a retraction to restore his reputation.
