Renowned rapper Phyno has responded after facing backlash for including controversial figure Hushpuppi in one of the tracks on his latest album, Full Time Job.
The song, Nwoke Esike, features Hushpuppi sharing advice with young hustlers, urging them to keep their ways honest and their hands clean.
A user on X, @Temmyt_Official, questioned Phyno’s decision, asking what message he intended to send by including Hushpuppi.
He wrote, “I still don’t understand what Phyno was trying to do on that track by bringing Hushpuppi to ‘motivate’ us.”
In response, Phyno fired back, pointing out the double standards, saying that if American artists like Young Thug or El Chapo featured on tracks, listeners would be quick to tune in.
“Go and sleep if you don’t know the game! If Young Thug or El Chapo spoke on a track, you’d rush to play it first. Ngwere isi red!” Phyno replied.
