The Take-It-Back Movement (TIB), a Nigerian pro-democracy group, has raised concerns over the arrest of one of its organizers in Kano State, identified only as Zubair.

TIB, in a post on its social media platform, revealed that Zubair was detained in the early hours of Thursday by operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS).

The reasons for his arrest remain unclear, though sources suggest it may be linked to a Facebook post in which Zubair criticized the government.

The organization has called for Zubair’s immediate and unconditional release, stating that he is being transferred to Abuja.

TIB’s statement reads: “TIB organizer in Kano, Zubair, was arrested by the DSS earlier today. The reason for his arrest remains unknown, but sources say it is related to a Facebook post critical of the government. We demand his immediate and unconditional release!”
