President Bola Tinubu has implemented significant changes to Nigeria’s federal ministries following a Federal Executive Council meeting.

The Niger Delta Ministry and Ministry of Sports Development have been abolished and replaced with new structures.

A Ministry of Regional Development will now oversee regional commissions, including those for the Niger Delta, North West, South West, and North East.

The National Sports Commission takes over the responsibilities of the former sports ministry.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism will be merged with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.

These changes were announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
