President Tinubu adds Festus Keyamo, Mariya Mahmoud to Ministerial Nominees

President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the Ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty, and has added 2 more nominees, Festus Keyamo and Dr Mariya Mahmoud.

The President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio read out the President’s letter containing the changes during plenary on Friday. With the new nominees,  President Bola Tinubu has now forwarded a total of 48 Ministerial nominees to the Senate.

Festus Keyamo, if confirmed will serve as Minister for another stint, having served as Minister of State for Niger Delta and later as Minister of State for Labour during the last administration.

Interestingly, his former boss in the Ministry of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio, is now the President of the Senate- the very body that holds the power to confirm his nomination.
