President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House). Alongside Bwala, three other appointments were made to lead key federal agencies.
The announcement was made on Thursday in a statement from Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, titled “President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General and One Special Adviser on Public Communication.”
The appointees include:
Mr. Olawale Olopade as Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator, previously served as Commissioner of Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the Local Organizing Committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Fagade, a marketing communication expert, is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun as Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement. Adedokun formerly held the role of Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
The Presidency described Bwala as “a lawyer and prominent public affairs analyst.”
In the statement, President Tinubu encouraged the newly appointed officials to perform their duties with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
