“President Tinubu Doesn’t Sleep until 5am”, Sunday Dare, Urges Patience Amid Reforms

Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communication and Orientation, has called for understanding and patience as the administration implements sweeping reforms.

Dare praised Tinubu’s courage in tackling the subsidy regime, which “was draining the country’s resources” and benefiting a select few. He noted that previous presidents had promised to end the subsidy but failed to act.

The reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and floating the currency, have led to increased fuel prices (from N200 to over N1,000 per litre). Despite the hardship, Dare assured that Tinubu is working tirelessly to address the issues and fulfill his campaign promises.

“Tinubu is adept at governance, burning the midnight oil to fix the problems,” Dare said on Channels Television’s Politics Today. “He took the road less travelled by rolling out these policies.”

Dare’s comments come as Nigerians grapple with the reforms’ impact. The administration has also ordered a review of the N8,000 cash transfer palliative to support vulnerable citizens.
