President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday presented the 2025 budget, totaling N47.9 trillion, to a joint session of the National Assembly.

He was accompanied by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; and other top officials.

Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the presentation was postponed to Wednesday following a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday, where the budget estimate was approved.

Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, revealed that the 2025 budget reflects a 36.8% increase from 2024, with projections based on an oil benchmark of $75 per barrel, daily production of 2.06 million barrels, and an exchange rate of N1,400 to a dollar.
