President Bola Tinubu addressed the nation on Sunday, discussing the ongoing protests and the decision to remove fuel subsidies.

He explained that the removal of subsidies was a necessary step to address the country’s economic challenges, despite being a painful decision.

Tinubu emphasized that the subsidies had hindered Nigeria’s economic progress and benefited smugglers and neighboring countries at the expense of the Nigerian people.

He assured citizens that his administration is committed to delivering good governance and transparent leadership.

The President also addressed the protesters, stating that law enforcement agencies would protect innocent lives and properties while respecting constitutional rights.

He emphasized his vision for a prosperous Nigeria, where democratic governance ensures peace, freedom, and meaningful livelihoods for all.

Tinubu acknowledged the challenges posed by decades of economic mismanagement but expressed confidence in his administration’s ability to drive positive change.

He reaffirmed his commitment to accountability and transparency, assuring Nigerians that he is fully focused on delivering good governance.
