A fire outbreak today gutted a section of the Canadian High Commission building in Abuja.

Two people reportedly died in the tragedy while others sustained injuries.

The source of the fire is still yet unknown, but thick, dark smokes were seen spiraling into the skies from the building located on the diplomatic drive in the Central Business District of the FCT.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, sympathised with the Canadian government, diplomatic community, and all persons affected by the fire incident.
