Adegboyega Fasasi, Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been replaced by Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a Deputy Director from the Department of State Service (DSS).

Sources reveal Fasasi’s removal was to facilitate his attendance at a strategic training course. DSS Director-General Tosin Ajayi requested President Tinubu’s approval to release Fasasi from his CSO duties.

Lawal takes over as the new CSO, marking a significant change in the President’s security team.

Fasasi had served in the role since Tinubu’s presidency began. An official confirmation from the CSO’s office is still pending.
