Popular entrepreneur and style icon Rahman Jago has announced a significant change in his business operations, stating that he will no longer accept payments in U.S. dollars from high-fashion customers. Instead, he insists on transactions made strictly in Nigerian naira or via naira cards.

In a statement released earlier today, Jago expressed concerns regarding financial oversight and compliance, particularly in light of increased scrutiny from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). “The naira is our currency. We should embrace it fully,” Jago stated. “I am making this decision to ensure transparency and to align with the financial regulations in Nigeria.”

Jago’s declaration comes at a time when discussions surrounding currency usage and financial policies in the country are intensifying. His stance reinforces the importance of local currency in business transactions and reflects a broader trend of economic nationalism among Nigerian entrepreneurs.
