Real Madrid has expressed full support for forward Kylian Mbappe, who is currently under investigation in Sweden for alleged sexual assault.
According to Swedish media reports, the incident occurred during Mbappe’s time off from national and club duties in Stockholm.
The club clarified Mbappe’s absence from a promotional campaign with Adidas, citing his personal sponsorship with Nike. Real Madrid described the allegations as “the biggest fake in the history of sport.”
Despite controversy surrounding the French player, Mbappe has resumed training with Real Madrid after recovering from a thigh injury. He is expected to be available for selection against Celta Vigo on Saturday.
Mbappe has scored 7 goals in 11 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
