Real Madrid are allegedly disappointed with Kylian Mbappe’s performance levels and regret signing the French forward, according to journalist Romain Molina.

Mbappe joined Los Blancos on a free transfer from PSG this summer, ending a long-standing transfer saga.

Despite scoring seven goals in 11 games, Mbappe’s impact has been underwhelming, and his off-field actions have raised concerns.

The 25-year-old faces a rape allegation, which he denies, following a visit to Sweden during the international break.

Molina stated that Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, was the driving force behind Mbappe’s signing, citing a “filial relationship” between the two. However, the club is now “gutted” with Mbappe’s:

1. Underwhelming performances, not meeting expected levels.

2. Alleged off-field issues, including hosting private parties at an exclusive Stockholm nightclub.

Molina expressed surprise at Mbappe’s physical decline at 25, questioning his instant integration into the team without a pre-season.

The rape allegation, which Mbappe vehemently denies, has added to the controversy surrounding his signing. Swedish newspaper Expressen claims Mbappe is being investigated by police.

Real Madrid’s regret over signing Mbappe raises questions about the club’s transfer strategy and the implications of high-profile signings on team dynamics.
