Renowned Footballer Sol Bamba Passes Away at 39

The football world is mourning the loss of former Leicester City defender Sol Bamba, who tragically passed away on Saturday at the age of 39.

Bamba had been bravely battling Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a rare form of cancer, since his diagnosis on Christmas Eve in 2020.

At the time of his passing, Bamba was serving as the technical director of Turkish club Adanaspor.

The club announced the devastating news in a statement on social media, extending their deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Throughout his illustrious career, Bamba donned the jerseys of esteemed clubs like Leeds United, Cardiff City, and Leicester City. He also proudly represented the Ivory Coast national team.

Sol Bamba’s untimely passing has sent shockwaves through the football community, with fans and colleagues alike paying tribute to his remarkable life and legacy.
