Juric, the former Torino boss, took charge in September after Daniele de Rossi was sacked. Despite an initial positive start with two wins in his first three games, Juric’s performance soon waned, with only two more victories in his next nine matches across Serie A and the Europa League.

The breaking point came with a 3-2 home loss to Bologna, which extended Roma’s winless streak to three games across all competitions. This streak included a 1-1 draw with Union SG in the Europa League and a 3-2 defeat to Hellas Verona. Roma’s form in Serie A has left them 12th on the table, merely four points above the relegation zone and nine points adrift of sixth-place Lazio.
