Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, recently passed by the State House of Assembly, into law.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile, announced this via his X handle, stating:
“Breaking: Lagos State Governor @jidesanwoolu today signs the 2025 Appropriation bill to Law. The budget size is N3.366 trillion meant for the continuation of the great works of the Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat administration.”
The Lagos State House of Assembly approved a budget of N3.37 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year on Monday, adding N360.88 billion to the governor’s initial proposal. The approval followed a presentation by Sa’ad Olumoh, chairman of the joint committee on appropriation and finance, during the plenary session presided over by Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.
The budget includes N1.3 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N2.07 trillion for capital projects, with the financial year set to end on December 31, 2025.
