Manchester City has confirmed that Joao Cancelo will depart the club this summer, with a transfer to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League finalized.

After his loan spell at FC Barcelona, Cancelo had hoped to return to the club permanently, but financial constraints prevented a deal.

Following exploratory talks with Italian clubs Inter and Juventus, Cancelo has agreed to a €25 million transfer to Al Hilal, where he will earn an annual salary of €15 million net until 2027.

The deal is expected to be completed shortly, pending final documentation.

This move brings an end to Cancelo’s time at Manchester City, where he has been a key player since joining in 2019.
