Veteran actor Sello Maake kaNcube and his estranged wife, Pearl Mbewe, are embroiled in a heated dispute following their separation. The conflict centers around Maake kaNcube’s alleged refusal to return Mbewe’s personal belongings, including clothes and underwear.

The incident reportedly occurred at the actor’s home in Dube, Soweto. Mbewe claims she had to fight to retrieve her items, which included shoes, dresses, and other possessions.

According to sources, the couple had transformed several rooms in their shared home into workspaces for their individual projects. As their marriage deteriorated, Mbewe attempted to collect her belongings but faced resistance. Despite informing Maake kaNcube of her intentions, he allegedly ignored her and later claimed he was not home at the time.

Tensions escalated when Maake kaNcube refused Mbewe access to her possessions, prompting her to seek assistance from friends and family. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as Mbewe and her reinforcements arrived at the home.

One eyewitness recounted, “When I heard yelling, I knew something was wrong. There was a vehicle in the driveway, and furniture was being loaded. Maake kaNcube was shouting at the people helping with the move.”

During the confrontation, Maake kaNcube reportedly made an emotional plea, expressing lingering feelings for Mbewe. However, she stood her ground, dismissing his sentiments and emphasizing her frustration.

Speaking to Sunday World, Mbewe expressed her hope for a peaceful resolution. “I hope my estranged husband comes to his senses and returns all my belongings without me needing to involve the authorities,” she stated.
