Senate begins Screening of Nominees for EFCC Chairman and Secretary

The Senate has commenced the screening of Ola Olukoyede and Muhammad Hammajoda, who were recently nominated by President Bola Tinubu as Chairman and and Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The President had on October 12, 2023 appointed Olukoyede and Hammajoda as chairman and secretary to the commission respectively, pending Senate confirmation.

As at the time of reporting, the screening exercise is ongoing at the Senate chamber.
