Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has shared his belief on monogamy and a revelation about Fela’s numerous girlfriends.

In an interview with the Bad and Boujee podcast with Tolani Baj and Moet Abebe, Seun expressed his opinion that monogamy doesn’t work and that powerful men should have the support of multiple partners, which he referred to as “goddesses” given to them by their ancestors.

Seun Kuti also shared some surprising information about his grandfather, the legendary musician Fela Kuti.

According to Seun Kuti, Fela had 27 wives and over 100 girlfriends, many of whom lived with the family in their home.

This revelation has sparked outrage among some social media users, particularly given Seun Kuti’s own marital status.

However, it’s worth noting that Seun’s perspective may be influenced by his family’s cultural and historical context, as well as his own personal experiences.
