Shettima Lands in New York for 79th UNGA

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has arrived in New York to lead the country’s delegation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Shettima landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where he was received by dignitaries including:

– Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar

– Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani

– Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, Kashifu Inuwa

– Nigerian diplomats and UN officials

During his visit, Vice President Shettima will deliver Nigeria’s national statement and participate in high-level meetings.

The 79th UNGA high-level General Debate is scheduled for September 24-28, 2024, under the theme “Leaving No One Behind: Acting Together for the Advancement of Peace, Sustainable Development and Human Dignity for Present and Future Generations”.
