Former presidential aspirant Omoyele Sowore has claimed that popular TikToker Seaking was re-arrested in Lagos on Thursday, February 6, and flown to Abuja over alleged defamatory remarks against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Sowore said he visited the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) alongside lawyer Deji Adeyanju, where they were informed that Seaking was arrested for alleged cyberbullying against Adeboye.

According to Sowore, the FCID received a petition from one Paul James Adama on behalf of Adeboye. He further stated that Seaking’s arrest was linked to comments he made during a TikTok session in December 2024, where he allegedly criticized Adeboye for wearing military camouflage during the church’s convention last August and for stating that Nigerians should be happy about the dollar rising to ₦10,000.

Sowore condemned the arrest, describing it as a reflection of the declining state of the police force. He also called for Seaking’s immediate release using hashtags like #FreeSeakingNow and #EgbetokunMustGo.
