Speed Darlington has been granted bail of N20 million with one surety of equal standing following his arraignment at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday.

Justice Ekerete Akpan approved the bail after the singer, represented by his lawyer Marshall Abubakar, pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge related to alleged cybercrime.

The court stipulated that the surety must be a Level 10 civil servant residing in Abuja and must provide an affidavit of means. Additionally, Speed Darlington was ordered to surrender his international passport and submit two recent passport photographs, along with the surety’s, to the court registrar.

Justice Akpan further directed that the singer be remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre until his bail conditions are met. The trial has been scheduled for March 18.
