Lawyer Insists That Speed Darlington Will Refuse to Beg Burna Boy to Drop Defamation Charges

Following his two-month imprisonment for alleged defamation, Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, has stated that his client will not apologize to Burna Boy in order to have the charges dropped.

Alieke maintains that the case should be handled as a civil matter, with the court determining any damages or financial compensation. He argues that police involvement was unnecessary and that Speed Darlington should have been granted bail from the outset.

The lawyer emphasizes that Speed Darlington has already suffered significantly and will not plead guilty. He disputes Burna Boy’s claims that Speed Darlington’s actions damaged his reputation and led to lost endorsements, instead advocating for the matter to be resolved in court.
