Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development John Enoh has joined other sports stakeholders to support Super Eagles player Alex Iwobi after he was subjected to cyberbullying following Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

Iwobi who played about 80 minutes in the final, had come under heavy criticism which turned into cyber abuse. The cyberbullying forced Iwobi to delete all photos on his Instagram handle and lock the comment section of the only post he left on the platform.

Minister Enoh who met with Iwobu, condemned the abuse directed towards the Super Eagles midfielder, urging him to “keep soaring”.
