The Super Eagles of Nigeria has recorded a narrow 3-2 win over Mozambique in an International Friendly match played in Portugal.

Mozambique struck first, before the Eagles came back with 3 goals, 1 each from Terem Moffi, Frank Onyeka and a penalty from Moses Simon.

However, despite going down to 10 men following a red card to Edmilson Dove in the 38th minute, Mozambique still managed to grab a goal, but the Eagles held on for the win.

Today’s victory is Nigeria’s first win in an international friendly match since March 2019, and the first under coach Jose Peseiro. Before today’s win, the Eagles had gone winless in 15 straight friendly matches.
