Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi received a hero’s welcome as he stepped onto the City Ground for the first time since his serious abdominal injury. The Nigerian forward, who underwent emergency surgery after colliding with a goalpost during a Premier League match against Leicester City, was greeted with thunderous applause from fans ahead of Forest’s final game of the season against Chelsea.
