Tensions Rise as Trump Tells Zelensky: “Come Back When You’re Ready for Peace”

In a dramatic and tense meeting at the White House, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky clashed over the future of Ukraine’s war with Russia, with Trump bluntly telling the Ukrainian president to “make a deal or we’re out.”

Zelensky firmly rejected any compromise with Vladimir Putin, insisting that Ukraine “should not make concessions” in pursuit of peace. However, Trump countered that Kyiv would have to negotiate to bring the war to an end.

According to White House correspondents, the exchange was marked by unprecedented tension, ultimately leading to the cancellation of a planned joint news conference between the two leaders.

Shortly after Zelensky left the White House, Trump took to his Truth Social platform, stating: “He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
