In announcing the appointment, President Tinubu aims to ensure a smooth transition in managing Nigeria’s treasury and to further advance the implementation of the government’s treasury policy reforms.

Onanuga highlighted Ogunjimi’s over 30 years of experience in financial management, spanning both public and private sectors. A career civil servant, Ogunjimi is the most senior director at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
