Tobi Amusan wins Heat at World Athletics Championship

World Champion and record holder Tobi Amusan has started her title defence at the World Athletics Championship on a fine note after finishing first in Heat 5 with a time of 12.48 seconds

Amusan overcame a slow start to win her heat and qualify for the semi-final.

Jamaica’s Megan Tapper came 2nd in 12.51 seconds while Australian Michelle Jenneke finished 3rd with a time of 12.71s seconds.

Other athletes that competed in Heat 5 are Ebony Morrison, Maayke Tjin-a-lim, Natalia Christofi, and Nika Glojnaric.
