Tragedy in Sheffield: 15-Year-Old Boy Fatally Stabbed at All Saints Catholic High School

Sheffield, South Yorkshire – A 15-year-old boy has tragically died after being stabbed at All Saints Catholic High School on Granville Road on Monday, according to South Yorkshire Police.

The incident occurred around 12:17 GMT, leaving the victim with serious injuries. Despite the rapid response from emergency services and extensive efforts by paramedics, the teenager was pronounced dead shortly after the attack.

In a press briefing, Assistant Chief Constable Lindsey Butterfield confirmed that another 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

“This is a deeply tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family, friends, and the wider school community during this incredibly difficult time,” Butterfield stated. “We are in the very early stages of our investigation, and a dedicated team of detectives is working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened.”

When asked about reports of a previous school lockdown last week linked to “threatening behaviour,” Butterfield acknowledged the concerns but emphasized that it’s “very, very early stages” in the investigation. She assured that police will “review that as part of our inquiries.”

The school community is reportedly devastated, with additional support services being provided to students and staff affected by the tragedy. South Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the incident.
