Trump Open to Conceding Election if Fair, Raises Concerns About Electronic Voting Machines

U.S. Republican presidential contender Donald Trump stated he would be willing to concede defeat after Tuesday’s election, provided it’s a “fair election,” but reiterated his concerns over the use of electronic voting machines.

“If I lose an election, if it’s a fair election, I would be the first one to acknowledge it… So far I think it’s been fair,” Trump told reporters in Florida, repeating a stance he has frequently taken on the campaign trail.

Wearing a red “Make America Great Again” cap, Trump emphasized his criticism of electronic voting machines, suggesting they lack the security of paper ballots and could delay the announcement of results.

“They spend all this money on machines… If they used paper ballots, voter ID, proof of citizenship, and one-day voting, everything would be over by 10 p.m.,” he commented to reporters in West Palm Beach.
