Music executive Ubi Franklin has clarified that he is neither Davido’s personal assistant nor his nanny, despite some individuals referring to him in such a manner.

Ubi addressed the comment from an X user who called him Davido’s personal assistant and nanny. He explained that he serves as a business administrator, emphasizing that the Afrobeats singer refers to him as a “solutionist.”

Ubi responded, “I’m the CEO of Mademusicg, and if you see me working with Davido, it’s because I have the qualifications and experience for the role of business administrator. David calls me #thesolutionist—take that however you like. I’m definitely not his PA or nanny, as some have taunted me. If that makes you happy, so be it. I am focused on the business side, and that’s where I’ll always be.”

The term “nanny” was first used by Nigerian artist Timaya in a tweet on March 30, 2022. Later, in October 2023, Davido humorously referred to Ubi as his “nanny” while they were on a jet together.
