UNILORIN Student Sets Guinness World Record for Longest Mathematics Lesson

A 400-level Mathematics student of the University of Ilorin, Kazeem Sanusi, has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Mathematics Lesson, clocking in an incredible 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds of non-stop lecturing.

The marathon session, which shattered the previous record of 26 hours, was held in the presence of representatives from Guinness World Records and drew widespread attention on campus. Sanusi’s feat was celebrated by top university officials, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN), who described the achievement as a source of immense pride for the institution.

The university’s Director of Information, Kunle Akogun, said Sanusi’s determination captivated an enthusiastic audience that included faculty leaders and students. While official confirmation from Guinness World Records is still pending, the university has already begun celebrations, hailing the student as an inspiration to others.

Prof. Egbewole expressed confidence that this achievement will encourage more students to pursue excellence and “write the name of the University in gold.”

Sanusi now joins the growing list of young Nigerians making global headlines with record-breaking academic and creative accomplishments.
