Uninspiring Super Eagles fall to Embarrassing 2-0 Defeat to Guinea

In their last warm-up match before the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s Super Eagles suffered an embarrassing 2-0 defeat to Guinea in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Despite a strong lineup led by captain William Troost-Ekong, Guinea took the lead with Aguibou Camara‘s 14th-minute goal.

Nigeria squandered a chance to equalize as Moses Simon missed a penalty in the 20th minute before Guinea extended their lead with Facinet Conté‘s 64th-minute strike.

Coach Jose Peseiro‘s tactical changes couldn’t reverse the outcome, raising further concerns about the readiness of the Super Eagles for AFCON.
