After a number of students’ protests and demonstrations, the management of the University of Lagos, has announced the reduction of its school and hostel fees.
The university made the decision after a 5-hour meeting with representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). A statement made available on Friday morning revealed that the university held a meeting with the executives of the NANS and other faculty members on Thursday evening.
The statement revealed that at the commencement of the meeting, NANS highlighted the demands put forth by the students to include the reduction of school and hostel fees, and reinstatement of Students’ Union Government in UNILAG.
