(UPDATED): 4 people rescued as Helicopter crashes in Lagos state

A helicopter crash in the Oba Akran area of Ikeja, Lagos State has left 4 people critically injured.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon close to a branch of the United Bank for Africa in the area.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services while confirming the incident through its spokesman Amodu Shakiru, said the occupants (2 pilots and 2 passengers) sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also corroborated this in a Twitter post.
