In a cautionary message, Nigerian lawyer Stan Alieke has reminded citizens that creating money cakes or bouquets is a criminal offense punishable by law.

As Valentine’s Day celebrations approach, Alieke cited Section 21 of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act 2007, highlighting the minimum six-month jail term associated with this offense.

Alieke advised individuals to find alternative, law-abiding ways to express love and affection, emphasizing that ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse.
